DOES NOTLEY HATE CAPITALISM TOO?
Rachel Notley needs to come clean and tell us if she agrees with her fellow travelers at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) when they declare that “capitalism”, freedom and individual rights need to be eliminated in Canada. Do Rachel Notley and her boss Jagmeet Trudeau dream of the day when everyone in Canada “will own nothing and be happy”? To the extent that Shanghai Rachel thought we should have all been locked down harder and longer during COVID these are questions that she needs to answer before anyone allows her to govern.
“Doctor” Tam’s minions apparently think that blaming climate change on “colonization, racism, ableism and heteronormativity” didn’t go far enough. (Theresa Tam, Mobilizing Public Health Action on Climate Change, Government of Canada, October 25, 2022)
Doctor Tam’s October 25, 2022 paper only suggested that the Public Health Agency of Canada was an arm of the Communist Party of China. The recent PHAC document entitled “What We Heard: Perspectives on Climate Change and Public Health in Canada - Supplementary Report for the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada’s Report on the State of Public Health in Canada 2022 Mobilizing Public Health Action on Climate Change in Canada” April 20, 2023 , proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
In the recent April 2023, PHAC “Perspectives on Climate Change” document there are numerous references to “capitalism” or “capitalist” systems and the need to eliminate them from the Canadian economy. Interestingly, the geniuses at PHAC state that the systemic drivers of negative health outcomes overlap the causes of climate change. They breathlessly state that to fight climate change, “white supremacy, capitalism, colonialism and racism must be addressed” but don’t in any way attempt to distinguish “racism and white supremacy” from “capitalism”. Rachel Notley needs to come clean and tell us whether she believes this complete nonsense and whether she equates capitalism with racism and white supremacy. Thousands of business owners in north east Calgary need to know.
As an aside, this of course totally ignores the issue of how a “racist” or “white supremacist” (even though really bad folks) emit any more than the 14 ton average CO2 emissions of anyone else. That being said, given the estimated 1000 metric tons of CO2 emitted by Justin Trudeau annually, skiing, surfing and having China pay to send him on Jamaican vacations through the Trudeau Foundation, Justin Trudeau must be REALLY racist and REALLY white supremacist. Only Trudeau’s blackface makeup artist knows for sure and he’s not moistly speaking.
In the course of my career, I act on behalf of indigenous people in Canada. The vast majority of the “racism and colonialism” that I witness is exhibited by representatives of the Government of Canada denying the treaty and aboriginal rights of my clients, which they continue to do to this day. I find it more than ironic that representatives of a colonial, racist and white supremacist government in Ottawa claim that it is their own “isms” and “ists” are to blame for climate change in Canada. Maybe Theresa Tam, Rachel Notley and their bosses in the Singh-Trudeau Government could stop climate change by simply withdrawing their support for the racist, colonialist, white supremacist policies of the NDP-Liberal Politburo in Ottawa.
On a serious note, our entire way of life and the tax base that pays the salaries of the Doctor Tam’s, “Eat The Rich” lackies at PHAC and Rachel Notley’s appointed minions at AHS are generated by a “capitalist economy.”
China, India and the other BRICS nations dream of having an economy and resource base to population ratio that would afford them the wealth and prosperity of Canada. China, India and Russia when not giving in to the kleptocratic instincts of their ruling elites all now embrace free markets and capitalism as the means and method of lifting their people out of squalor. As part of their mission to destroy Canada and hand the country’s resources over to China, Trudeau’s minions at PHAC and by extension Notley’s minions at AHS imagine Canada as a “capitalism” free zone where everyone is on the government dole.
Anyone who says that “ending capitalism will end climate change” is a delusional nihilist. The policy wonks at PHAC and the World Economic Forum “Partners” at AHS seem to suggest that only through committing collective suicide, like proverbial lemmings, will we save the planet.
Any perspective based on traditional economics, common sense or critical thought seems to be entirely lacking from the bureaucrats at PHAC and AHS and the “woke folk” that support Rachel Notley and the NDP.
As little as 8 years ago Canada was a largely peaceful, economically stable, prosperous, post racial, gender-neutral society. We were the envy of the world. Equal rights prevailed in the courts and from a public opinion perspective overwhelming public opinion embraced equal rights in every aspect of our society including the rights of same gender couples to marry. In the words of more than one comedian on the same gender marriage issue “why shouldn’t everyone be free to be as miserable as the rest of us”.
Flash forward to today. Every time we turn around it appears that there are deliberate attempts being made to divide our society by constantly driving ideological wedges between people and ongoing attempts by politicians to secure or maintain power by labeling everyone that disagrees with them as “extremists”.
The pending Alberta Election is a case in point. Rachel Notley and her merry band of NDP-PHAC Communists all are quick to label every Albertan they don’t like an “extremist”.
All of Notley’s ads and internet slurs breathlessly declare that Danielle Smith is an extremist and that the only people who support her are dangerous extremists.
People who resent sending more than 10 billion dollars a year to Quebec in transfer payments while we have deficits and debt in Alberta – extremists.
People who resent paying excessive federal and provincial taxes to fund surplus budgets in Quebec – extremists.
People who disagree with people being fired from their jobs for exercising their inherent right to informed consent over medical treatments – extremists.
People who resent being told by the government to wear a filthy scrap of cloth over their face as a symbol of adherence to the state COVID religion – extremists.
People who question the right of bureaucrats to micromanage our lives – extremists.
People who want a public debate and referendum on whether Alberta should continue to be treated as a colony of the Laurentian elites – extremists.
People who want a public debate on something as basic as a provincial police force – extremists.
People who suggest that we have an Alberta Pension Plan – extremists.
People who don’t want the Alberta Teachers Association making decisions about the health of their children absent parental knowledge and consent – extremists.
People who feel that the NDP takeover of the College of Physicians and Surgeons and AHS has undermined quality the quality of health care in Alberta while quadrupling the cost – extremists.
… and the list goes on.
In short, anyone who values freedom and a traditional role for limited government – is labeled by Notley and her merry band of woke ideologues as “extremists”.
It’s time for all of us to recognize the real “extremists”. Anyone who thinks it’s OK to suspend civil rights and impose the will of government on others is the real extremist.
Rachel and I were classmates in the University of Alberta, Honors Political Science Class of 1987. Rachel Notley has always reminded me of Kurtz in Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness”.
“- He had faith – don’t you see? He had faith. He could get himself to believe anything - anything.
‘He would have been a splendid leader of an extreme party’. ‘What party ?’ I asked. ‘ Any party’ , answered the other. ‘He was an extremist.’ Did I not think so? ” …
Unfortunately, unless Albertans start paying attention - our families and our children will be turned over to the care of a real extremist - not one invented by the social media Chat Bots of a NDP war room.
We don’t need to elect Rachel Notley, as a pre-apocalyptic messiah, who supports Justin Trudeau’s dark view of the world. The oceans aren’t “boiling”, Alberta sea-levels aren’t rising and winters in Alberta are still really cold.
Nothing Notley and Trudeau do to financially devastate working men, women and their children in Alberta will stop China and India from building new coal fired power plants or burning fossil fuels at a rate thousands of times higher than Alberta’s cumulative net emissions.
